Dallas Cliffhangers (1978-2012)

This shall be updated on Monday. I’m hoping they give us a real Cliffhanger this year!

Was there a cliffhanger? I know how it ended but was there a ,’no way, gotta watch next season*’ moment?

*i know we are in season 3 limbo but was scene set up for a possible return?

Looking at these two couples who would have thought it would be JR and Sue Ellen prevailing? I am thanking my lucky stars for being a JR and Sue Ellen fan. At least we got a wedding. At least we got JR saying to Sue Ellen in JR Returns “the only woman I truly love.” At least he told her she was still the prettiest girl at the ball. At least he gave her Miss Ellie’s pearls. At least he told her he wanted a fresh start. At least they had one last dance. At least one of JR’s last acts was to clear Sue Ellen’s name. At least we got that front door kiss. At least they had a private tea party for two. At least JR publicly declared Sue Ellen was the love of his life. At least he left her half of his oil shares in his will. At least he left her his heart because she was (and I quote) “the only woman I ever loved.” At least we got closure.

Now what did the Bobby and Pam fans get? A big old slap in the face is what I think. Chris comes back with a letter from his mother and news that she died in 1989 and Bobby didn’t even blink. “Well pal I was over her a long time ago.” That’s just foul. My condolences to their fans.

Do I hate that JR withheld his health issues from the love of his life and arranged to have himself killed? Absolutely! But nobody can take those special moments away from us (even though Cidre ignored the movies she made up for it by having JR reiterate Sue Ellen is the only woman he ever loved).

In conclusion, the king and queen of Dallas title belongs to JR and Sue Ellen. They earned it. They own it. Forever may they forever reign!
